about

Where last years 2XLP “Overflow Variations” could be seen as a tentative coming out, reshaping Marc Kellaways now 16 year old project into something more beat and synth driven, "Revisions" is a consolidation, more secure and traveling much farther into new areas.

The albums takes it’s cue from Marc’s 2014 release “Versions” reassembling two tracks into radically new 20+ minutes versions in a dialog between then and now.

Grey Revision wastes no time stumbling into a drone drenched upper tempo (for ERB, that is) lo-fi beat consolidated by an almost funky bass line, slowly tweaking the mood from there with increasing layers of synthetic percussion and mushy synthesizer drones and unstable arpeggios.

Pink Revision goes in an almost opposite direction slowly establishing a krautrock influenced groove over a slow dubby baseline - all organ, bells and subharmnics - before it all explodes in electric violin drones, mutated piano chords and shoegazing synth scapes, building toward a climax before collapsing into a dreamy drawn out half tempo coda.

about

Exquisite Russian Brides Copenhagen, Denmark

Exquisite Russian Brides was Marc Kellaway's main experimental project from 2003 to 2020 specialising in massive fields of acoustic/electric drones - whether soft spaces produced by cello and accordion, more insistent beat-driven creations, field-recordings and tape cut-ups, free form synth impro or minimal music for meditation.

Since 2020 the journey continues as The Exquisite Test Center.
